The Nigeria Police Force has disclosed that in its recent fight against insecurity in North-Central, no fewer than 129 terrorists have so far been arrested in Kogi and Kwara States respectively. A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State, Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, has raised concerns over what he described as the deliberate exclusion of his supporters from the party’s ongoing electronic registration exercise. In a statement issued in Gusau, Shinkafi said many of his supporters were not captured during the e-registration exercise across the state’s 14 local government areas, describing the situation as a violation of Article 9 (1) of the APC constitution. The Jigawa State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has said it arrested 577 suspects for various drug-related offences and seized 1,944.389 kg of psychoactive substances. The NDLEA State Commander, Hassan Kabaju Katangana, disclosed this while briefing journalists on the command’s achievements in 2025. According to him, “The command has arrested 577 suspects and also seized 1,944.389 kg of psychoactive substances”. Chelsea Football Club has reacted to the death of their former player and manager Eddie McCreadie. McCreadie passed away on Tuesday at the age of 85. Chelsea described the former left-back as a great figure in the club’s history and also a leader. The Lagos State Government has arrested a Bus Rapid Transit driver following the death of a pedestrian, identified as, Elizabeth Fresh, who was knocked down by a high-capacity bus along the Airport Junction, Ikeja.
