The Katsina State Police Command has dismantled a seven-man armed robbery syndicate allegedly responsible for attacking a residence in Katsina metropolis and carting away motorcycles, mobile phones and other valuables. The command said the suspects were arrested following an intelligence-led investigation into a robbery that occurred on June 19, 2026, at about 2 a.m. in Unwala Quarters, Katsina. The Ogun State Government has attributed the recurring gas emissions in parts of Ijebu-Ode and its environs to natural underground geological activities, dismissing claims linking the phenomenon to traditional myths or beliefs. The Commissioner for Environment, Dr Ola Oresanya, stated this during a state government-organised town hall meeting with stakeholders on the gas emissions at the Bisi Rodipe Hall, GRA, Ijebu-Ode.
