Six heavily armed gunmen, on Sunday night stormed the Ilu-Abo community in the Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State, where they abducted a woman and shot two persons as well as an 11-year-old child. The victim, identified as Tomilola Oladehinde, was abducted around 8:00pm by the gunmen at the entrance of her home at Liberty Avenue in the community. The Kwara State Fire Service has recovered the body of a 73-year-old man, identified as Pastor Awolola, who was suspected to have been burnt to death while carrying out a bush-burning exercise on his parcel of land in Ilorin.
