The Nasarawa State Government has rejected a report alleging that the state spent ₦707 million on refreshments and meals between January and September 2025 while underfunding rural water projects. The government clarified that the ₦707 million figure cited in the report represents cumulative expenditure by several Ministries, Departments and Agencies, MDAs, over a nine-month period and not a single discretionary spending item on refreshments, as suggested by the publication. Former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Abdullahi Ganduje, has returned to Nigeria from London, ahead of Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf’s defection to the party. Gunmen on Sunday reportedly opened fire on the traditional ruler of Bangha Kingdom in Khana Local Government Area of Rivers State, His Royal Majesty Suanu Baridam Baridam, a first-class monarch, who was reportedly shot between Taabaa Junction and Sogho while returning from an engagement in Okwale community, all within Khana LGA, was said to have escaped from the gunmen. Nigerian singer Ceeza Milli has revealed that he went to jail at some point in his career. The singer, who did not disclose what led to his imprisonment, said the experience affected him psychologically. “I went through a depressive stage, I went to jail. The Nigeria Customs Service has recorded a major revenue milestone in 2025, generating a total of N7.281tn, marking one of its strongest financial performances in recent years. The Niger State Police Command have arrested a 16-year-old suspect and three other persons over alleged drug-related offences, kidnapping and armed robbery in different parts of the state. The arrests were disclosed in a statement issued on Sunday by the Niger Police Public Relations Officer, Wasiu Abiodun.
