The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) says the average price of 5kg of cooking gas decreased from N5,425.78 recorded in November 2025 to N5,360.43 in December 2025. The NBS said this in its Cooking Gas Price Watch for Decèmber released on Monday in Abuja. The report said that the December price represented a 1.20 per cent decrease, compared to what obtained in November. It said that the average price of 5kg of cooking gas decreased year on year by 25.31 per cent from N7,177.27 in December 2024. The Kano State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of a suspected notorious thug, Auwalu Ali, popularly known as Auwalu Dan Daba, in Dorayi Quarters of Kano. Nigerian striker, Uchenna Ogundu has joined Bundesliga club, Augsburg on a permanent transfer, DAILY POST reports. The 19-year-old linked up with Augsburg from Turkish Super Lig club, Alanyaspor. No fewer than six people lost their lives, while 23 others sustained varying degrees of injuries when a vehicle loaded with cows and passengers crashed near the Foursquare Camp gate along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway on Monday.
