The federal government has launched a new Social Determinants of Health (SDoH) Fund for Cancer Patients, committing an initial N50 million to help vulnerable Nigerians overcome non-medical barriers that often prevent them from accessing or completing cancer treatment. The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration and Control on Wednesday said cosmetic products, food and beverages account for over 50 per cent of counterfeit products in the country. NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, made this known at a news conference organised by the agency to commemorate the 2026 International Anti-Counterfeit Month observed globally in June. The Nigerian Railway Corporation has announced that all equipment involved in the June 8 Warri-Itakpe Train Service incident has been fully recovered, while affirming that all passengers and personnel on board have been accounted for.
