Police officer commits suicide amid probe of missing ammunition in Niger

The Niger State Police Command said one officer killed himself amid an investigation into missing ammunition. The officer, Isah Abdullahi, a deputy superintendent of police, was attached to the 12 Police Mobile Force (PMF) unit in Minna, the state capital. The Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, has introduced fresh measures aimed at improving the reliability and security of foreign-issued payment card usage across the country, directing banks and other financial institutions to adopt multi-factor authentication for such transactions.
