Controversial Nigerian singer, Portable, has been arrested and allegedly assaulted by the police over dispute with baby mama, actress Ashabi Simple. He was arrested on Saturday one week after evading arrest. DAILY POST reports that the musician escaped arrest last week after Ashabi Simple and her siblings reported him to the police for assault. However a video trending on social media on Sunday evening showed Portable in handcuffs and crying for being allegedly tortured in police custody. The Nigeria National League, NNL, have concluded plans to hold a mid-season retreat for all the participating clubs in the league. The retreat is set to run from Friday, 23rd – Sunday 25th January at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne. Grief descended on Darusa, a border community in Sokoto State, after suspected Lakurawa terrorists attacked a weekly market and shot dead two currency traders, residents and police authorities have said.
