Police have arrested over 50 persons who participated in last Saturday’s protest in Ekpoma, Esan West local government area. Spokesman of the Edo state Police Command, Eno Ikoedem, said the arrested suspects were involved in looting and other violent acts. The National Bureau of Statistics has said that it would ‘normalise’ Nigeria’s inflation data for December 2025 over a projected spike in last month’s Consumer Price Index.
