The Ogun State Police Command has arrested five suspects, including a father and his son, and recovered four firearms in a series of coordinated intelligence-led operations across different divisions of the state. Operatives of the Ogun State Police Command have rescued a suspected burglar, Olaleye Williams, from a mob attack in the Oluwo community, Odeda Local Government Area of the state. The command’s Public Relations Officer, Babaseyi Oluseyi, disclosed this in an exclusive telephone conversation with PUNCH Metro on Thursday. The opposition Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has nominated Aminu Abdulsalam, former deputy governor of Kano State, as its flagbearer for the 2027 governorship election. The federal government has identified 21 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as areas at high or moderate risk of Ebola importation following renewed outbreaks in parts of Africa.
