Nigerian Government to transform police stations into digital connectivity hubs

The Nigerian Government has revealed plans to transform police stations across the country into digital connectivity hubs under Project BRIDGE, an initiative aimed at leveraging connectivity to modernise policing in Nigeria. Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy Bosun Tijani made the disclosure on Tuesday, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the ministry and the Nigeria Police Trust Fund. Tinubu establishes Ebola task force, approves ₦10bn for preparedness

President Bola Tinubu has approved the establishment of a Presidential Task Force on Ebola Virus Disease Preparedness and Emerging Public Health Threats. The president also ordered the immediate release of ₦10 billion for emergency preparedness. The Osun State Police Command has announced the arrest of three suspected cultists and political thugs, and the recovery of firearms, ammunition, charms and other dangerous weapons during separate operations in the state.
