The body of a young man has been recovered from the Obalende Underbridge Canal on Lagos Island, several days after he was reported missing. The deceased, whose identity has not been officially released, was said to have lived beneath the bridge for an extended period. Residents of Gowon Estate in the Egbeda area of Lagos State on Monday staged a protest at the Ikeja Electricity Distribution Company’s office over a prolonged power outage that has plunged parts of the area into darkness for months. The National Universities Commission has approved 11 postgraduate programmes for the Atiba University, Oyo, Oyo State.
