The Katsina State Government has confirmed the death of Rabe Abubakar, a retired major general and former director of defence information. Mr Rabe died in the custody of armed bandits nearly two weeks after he was abducted alongside his wife in Katsina State. Two students of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Ayingba, Kogi State, have been arrested in connection with the murder of a 300-level Biochemistry student of the institution, Mr David Ocholi Solomon. This was disclosed on Saturday during a condolence visit by the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Salisu Usman Ogbo, to the family of the deceased in Lokoja. The Nigerian Navy has arrested three suspects linked to the vandalism of the Oando–Ondewari pipeline in Bayelsa State.
