Plateau State Commissioner for Health, Dr Nicholas Baamlong, says the state has recorded 11 confirmed cases of cholera, five deaths and 53 suspected cases. Baamlong, who disclosed this to journalists on Sunday in Jos, said the confirmed and suspected cases were reported in Pushit, Mangu 1 and Mangu 2 communities in Mangu Local Government Area. The Kwara State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps has arrested a 21-year-old suspect, Soliu Mujeeb, in connection with the alleged kidnapping and murder of a 60-year-old electrician, Mr Olarewaju Afolabi, in Ilorin, Kwara State.
