Unidentified gunmen have attacked Okporojo community, Oso Edda, in Edda Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, killing many and kidnapping others. The assailants reportedly ambushed the community, setting houses on fire, killing people and then whisked others away. The gunmen allegedly beheaded five persons and took  their heads away. The Zamfara State Police Command has intercepted about 2,500 litres of suspected poisonous chemical substances in the Lalan area of the Gusau Local Government Area of the state. The latest seizure came less than 24 hours after the command intercepted a vehicle conveying 954 explosive devices believed to have been intended for use by bandits in the state.
