Police claim a Wisconsin man charged with murdering his girlfriend allegedly told investigators she had asked him to shoot her in the forehead, Us Weekly has learned. Lance Devon White, 29, was charged with one count of first-degree intentional homicide for killing Alicia Machnik, also 29, according to a probable cause affidavit obtained by Us Weekly. White allegedly shot Machnik inside a Milwaukee motel room. The Enugu State Government has received N1.28 billion from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) recovered from the Chief Executive Officer of Sujimoto Luxury Construction Limited, Olasijibomi Ogundele. The EFCC Zonal Director in Enugu, Daniel Ise, presented the funds, through some bank cheques, to officials of the state government on Wednesday in Enugu. A 52-year-old man, Ilori Elicanah, on Wednesday bagged a five-year jail term for illegal mining activities. A Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin, presided over by Justice Abimbola Awogboro, sentenced the convict after finding him guilty of unlawful possession of solid minerals. Bashir Usman has rejoined Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Niger Tornadoes for the remainder of the season. Usman previously played for the Ikon Allah Boys during the 2023-24 NPFL season.
