The National Sports Commission (NSC) has confirmed Nigerian athletes will attend a four-week residential training camp in Scotland ahead of the 2026 Commonwealth Games. The Nigerian government, through the Ministry of Education, has announced the return of history to the curriculum. The minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa, made this known during an interview on Arise News, adding that he lacked the explanation to how people with their right minds would ban history from being taught in schools. Gunmen suspected to be bandits have struck again, kidnapping six residents of Unguwar Barkono, Mararaban Kajuru, Kufana Ward in Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The Nigeria Customs Service, Ogun I Area Command, has vowed to bring to book the smugglers who launched a violent attack on its officers during an anti-smuggling operation at the Akokoro area of Iwoye, Imeko-Afon Local Government Area of Ogun State. Power distribution companies have expressed doubt over the directive by the Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, that prepaid meters must be free for all categories of customers.
