A heavy windstorm that swept through several local government areas of Niger State on Wednesday destroyed more than 1,000 houses, leaving many residents displaced. The Niger State Emergency Management Agency disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday by its Director-General, Abdullahi Baba-Arah.
