A Federal High Court in Abuja on Monday watched video recordings of investigators’ interview sessions with three of the six men being prosecuted over an alleged plot to overthrow the President Bola Tinubu administration. An Adamawa State High Court sitting in Yola has voided the local government and state congresses conducted by the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The court declared that those who conducted the exercise breached due process. The ruling followed a suit filed by the Adamawa State chairman of the party before the congresses, Shehu Yohanna, who accused the organisers of failing to comply with established procedures. Troops of the Nigerian Army have killed two suspected kidnappers and rescued an abducted civilian during a raid in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State. In a post shared on X by security analyst Zagazola Makama, he noted that security sources said the operation took place at about 9:16 a.m. on May 3.
