SERAP urges court to halt extension of sachet alcohol ban moratorium

The Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has filed a suit at the Federal High Court in Lagos, seeking to stop the Federal Ministry of Health and the Attorney-General of the Federation from extending the moratorium on the nationwide ban of alcohol in sachets. The civil society group also asked the court to restrain any federal interference with the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) in enforcing the ban. Customs intercepts N82m worth of contraband in Bauchi

Customs seize N82m smuggled goods in Bauchi zone

The Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘D’, Bauchi, of the Nigeria Customs Service has seized smuggled goods with a duty paid value of ₦82.1m within two weeks.
