BitGo has acquired the institutional trading business of Bitcoin infrastructure company NYDIG, adding derivatives and financing capabilities as it expands services for institutional crypto clients.BitGo said it completed the acquisition of NYDIG’s institutional trading business under a definitive agreement, the company announced Thursday. The transaction includes NYDIG’s institutional client trading relationships and about 30 employees who joined BitGo. There is a renewed push by nutrition and health experts to make the fortification of seasoning cubes mandatory to tackle Nigeria’s micronutrient deficiencies. The call focuses on adding vitamin B9 (folic acid) and vitamin B12 to seasoning cubes, also known as bouillon cubes, which are widely used in Nigerian households. In 2024, Nigeria introduced voluntary standards for bouillon fortification, allowing manufacturers to add vitamin B9, vitamin B12, iron, zinc, and iodine. The federal government has launched a five-year national alcohol policy aimed at reducing alcohol related harm while promoting responsible industry practices and protecting government revenue. The Kwara State Police Command says it has rescued the Onigbesi of Igbesi, Oba Moses Omotayo, and two other victims from suspected kidnappers in the state. The police spokesperson, Adetoun Ejire-Adeyemi, disclosed this in a statement issued on Thursday, adding that the victims were rescued during an operation in the Elerin/Ijomu-Oro axis of Kwara State.
