The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has recommended administrative action against 13 public officials over their roles in the scandal involving the illegal Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). The recommendation is contained in an ICPC investigation report examining how the organisation, which was not established by a valid legal instrument, gained access to government offices, financial systems and other administrative privileges. President Bola Tinubu has directed the rollout of 500 additional Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) refuelling stations across Nigeria as part of efforts to reduce transportation costs following the removal of the petrol subsidy. The additional stations will bring the planned number of CNG refuelling stations under the federal government’s programme to 1,000 nationwide. China paused a rescue operation on Friday citing the high risk of renewed flooding in Tibet, where hundreds remain missing two days after a deadly mudslide, state media said.
