The police in Anambra State say they have arrested a suspected drug dealer, Chinedu Nwankwo, while he was allegedly conveying illicit drugs to criminals in different communities of the state. The police spokesperson in the state, Tochukwu Ikenga, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday. At least 185,502 more children were treated for acute malnutrition across seven northern states in 2025 than in the previous two years. The latest data from Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors Without Borders), obtained by Sunday PUNCH, identified the affected states as Zamfara, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Bauchi, Borno, and Sokoto. A student of Osun State Polytechnic, Iree, Ademiju Ayeni, from the Department of Estate Management, was on Saturday stabbed to death during the convention of the National Association of Nigerian Students, Joint Campus Committee, Osun State Chapter, in Osogbo.
