On Saturday, Niger Republic came under an attack by mutineers who attempted to seize power from the junta led by Abdourahamane Tchiani. After fighting that lasted for hours, Mr Tchiani’s government still remains in power. The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a suspected phone snatcher and five alleged thugs in separate operations within the Bauchi metropolis. The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Nafiu Habib, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday.
