The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has invited the two rival factions of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to a reconciliation meeting at its headquarters in Abuja. The ongoing meeting involves the faction led by Tanimu Turaki and the group backed by former Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, headed by Abdulrahman Mohammed. Turaki arrived with members of his National Working Committee (NWC), secretariat officials, and former Niger State Governor Babangida Aliyu. The Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, Federal Operations Unit, FOU, Zone ‘D’ Bauchi, has seized contraband worth N82.1 million in the last 10 days. The Customs Comptroller, Abdullahi Kaila, said this at a news conference on Friday in Bauchi. The Federal Operations Unit, Zone ‘D’, Bauchi, of the Nigeria Customs Service has seized smuggled goods with a duty paid value of ₦82.1m within two weeks. The Zone Comptroller, Abdullahi Kaila, disclosed this on Friday during a media briefing in Bauchi, saying the seizures were made between December 8 and 19, 2025, by officers of the unit’s anti-smuggling team.
