Nigerien arrested in Bauchi over alleged theft of rams

The Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 58-year-old Nigerien national, Sayyadi Abubakar, over his alleged involvement in the theft of rams in Bauchi metropolis. The suspect, said to be from Tahoua Town in Maradi State, Niger Republic, was arrested on May 19, 2026, after police operatives intercepted two vehicles along Gubi Road in Bauchi. The National Youth Service Corps in Osun has extended the service year of 12 corps members from the 2025 Batch A Stream 11 for various offences committed during their service year.
