Rangers are in advanced talks to sign highly-rated Nigerian youngster, Akpe Victory from Hungarian outfit, Zalaegerszegi, DAILY POST reports.
The Light Blues are, however, facing strong competition from Portuguese giants, Benfica, who have also made an approach for Victory.
A number of clubs in Germany, Spain, and France are also monitoring the centre-back, according to transfer expert, Ben Jacobs.
Rangers are willing to pay €5m for the young defender.
The 19-year-old has shone for Zalaegerszegi in the Hungarian top-flight this season.
He has scored once in 15 league appearances for Zalaegerszegi this season.
