Nigeria striker Terem Moffi has been linked with French club ES Troyes AC and Serbian giants FK Partizan as he faces an uncertain future ahead of the summer transfer window, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Currently with the Super Eagles at the Unity Cup in London, Moffi ended the just-concluded season on loan at FC Porto, where he won the Portuguese league title.
He was sent to Portugal by OGC Nice after refusing to play for the French club following alleged abuse from supporters last year.
However, Porto have declined the option to sign him permanently for €8m, a decision that has placed the Super Eagles forward back on the transfer market, with a return to Nice also appearing unlikely.
According to reports, Troyes and Partizan are among the clubs interested in the striker.
The 27-year-old, whom Nice signed from FC Lorient in a deal reportedly worth €22.5m, managed two goals and one assist in 15 appearances for Porto.
Before now, West Ham United F.C. had been long-time admirers of the striker after previously submitting a £25m bid in January 2023, when he was viewed as a possible successor to Michail Antonio.
Aston Villa F.C. also held discussions with his representatives during that period, while Italian side S.S. Lazio continue to monitor his situation as they search for more attacking depth.
French clubs including Olympique de Marseille and Paris FC are also reportedly monitoring the striker, while Turkish giants Fenerbahçe S.K. have maintained a long-standing interest.
During his five seasons in Ligue 1 with Lorient and Nice, Moffi scored 54 league goals and provided 11 assists in 148 appearances. His performances convinced Nice to pay a reported club-record package worth around €30m to sign him permanently in January 2023.
Moffi first burst onto the Ligue 1 scene after joining Belgian side K.V. Kortrijk in 2020 before moving to Lorient. He scored 14 goals in his debut Ligue 1 campaign to help Lorient avoid relegation and later netted 12 goals in the first half of the 2022/23 season, briefly competing with Kylian Mbappé and Neymar near the top of the Ligue 1 scoring charts.
At Nice, he adapted quickly after his record-breaking move, producing nine goals and three assists in his first 20 matches before finishing the 2023/24 campaign as the club’s top scorer with 11 goals.
