Arsenal legend, Paul Merson, has said he is worried for Chelsea following their 3-1 home defeat to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Monday.
Speaking to Sky Sports, Merson also suggested that the Blues could end up not finishing above the likes of Everton and Fulham on the Premier League table with the way things are going for them at the moment.
“They have just lost six league games on the trot. They are probably not going to finish above Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth this season, maybe even Everton and Fulham with the way things are going,” Merson said.
“I really worry for Chelsea. Where are they going to be next season?”
Chelsea currently sits in 9th position on the Premier League table with 48 points from 35 games after losing to Nottingham Forest.
The Premier League west London club has the same points as 10th-placed Everton and 11th-placed Fulham, but has scored more goals than the two clubs.
