Super Falcons duo Rinsola Babajide and Shukurat Oladipo have written their names into Italian football history after helping AS Roma Women win the 2025/26 Serie A Femminile title in dominant fashion.
In their first full season with the club, Babajide and Oladipo played key roles as Roma sealed the Scudetto on Saturday with a controlled 2-0 victory over Ternana Women at the Stadio Tre Fontane. Midfielder Manuela Giugliano scored both goals.
Roma’s triumph was confirmed with two matches to spare. The win took them to 49 points, six ahead of second-placed Inter Milan Women, who could no longer catch them due to Roma’s superior head-to-head record. The champions surged to the title on the back of a remarkable 15-game unbeaten run that ultimately blew Inter out of contention.
The success crowns a dream debut campaign in Italy for both Babajide and Oladipo and further strengthens the growing Nigerian presence at the club.
Babajide began her journey in July 2025 following her move from UD Tenerife. She made an instant impact, scoring on her league debut against Parma to underline her attacking quality.
Despite featuring mainly as a rotation option, she made nine league appearances, contributing two goals and one assist—a solid return considering her limited minutes.

At the defensive end, Oladipo emerged as one of Roma’s most reliable performers. The 21-year-old, who joined from FC Robo Queens in early 2025, quickly established herself as a first-team regular. She featured in 16 league matches, playing over 1,200 minutes—an outstanding achievement in her first full season in Europe.
Oladipo consistently demonstrated strong positioning, physical presence and game awareness, helping Roma maintain one of the best defensive records in the league. Her reliability saw her miss very few matches and become a trusted figure in the backline.
Beyond the league, both players also contributed to Roma’s successful push into the UEFA Women’s Champions League, featuring in key qualification matches, including the playoff victory over Sporting Lisbon.
Roma’s latest title is their third in four seasons, underlining their dominance in Italian women’s football. Only Juventus Women have won more titles.
With the league secured, attention now turns to the Coppa Italia Femminile final against Juventus on May 24 in Vicenza, where Babajide, Oladipo and Roma will aim to complete a historic domestic double.
