Manchester City will take on Arsenal in the Community Shield game to kick off the 2026/2027 season.
This was confirmed after City’s 1-0 win over Chelsea in Saturday’s FA Cup final.
Antoine Semenyo scored a second-half winner as Pep Guardiola’s team completed the domestic double, having won the Carabao Cup in March.
Their latest victory at Wembley means the domestic cups will be shared between City and Arsenal, if the Gunners end up with the Premier League title.
But even if Arsenal don’t win the league, they will most likely finish in second place.
This year’s Community Shield will be played August 16.
