Bayern Munich striker, Harry Kane, has picked himself and team-mate, Michael Olise, as two of the top contenders to win the 2026 Ballon d’Or award.
Kane also claimed their competition would come from Paris Saint-Germain, who have retained the Champions League title.
According to him, an English player could “surely” win it, if the Three Lions go on to lift the World Cup in North America.
“I’m definitely among the favorites for the Ballon d’Or,” Kane said.
“If England win the World Cup, surely you can see an English player winning it.
“When you look at the favorites: You have myself, Olise, and the players in the Champions League final.
“I saw that the ceremony was in London, and maybe that’s a good omen for me. Winning it in my hometown would make it even more special.”
