The Special Assistant on Girl Child Education and Development to the Katsina State Governor, Jamila Mani, has emerged winner of the All Progressives Congress, APC, primary for the Mani/Bindawa Federal Constituency in Katsina State.
The primary election was held on Saturday as part of the party’s National Assembly primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Mani defeated her closest rival, Ahmed Saleh, after polling 24,989 votes, while Saleh scored 1,256 votes.
In other constituencies across the state, the APC conducted its primaries through affirmation following a consensus arrangement earlier adopted by stakeholders.
The party is currently holding its House of Representatives primaries across various states ahead of the 2027 general elections.
