The Senator representing Kaduna South Senatorial District, Sunday Katung, and the member representing Jema’a/Sanga Federal Constituency, Daniel Amos, have submitted their Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for the All Progressives Congress primaries ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The duo submitted their forms at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja on Tuesday, signalling the formal commencement of their re-election bids under the party platform.
Speaking after submitting his forms, Katung said his decision was driven by the need to consolidate ongoing efforts on peace and development in Southern Kaduna.
Amos, who submitted alongside the senator, said the move reflects a commitment to party unity and strengthened grassroots mobilisation within the zone.
He described the action as more than a procedural step, stressing that it reflects continued dedication to responsive governance and constituency engagement.
“I, alongside the Distinguished Senator Sunday Marshall Katung, have taken a defining step in the democratic process with the purchase and submission of our Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms, signalling our intention to seek re-election in 2027,” he said.
He added that their focus remains on sustaining development projects while expanding interventions for constituents.
Katung, in his remarks, reaffirmed his loyalty to the APC and expressed support for President Bola Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani, describing the party as the most viable platform for stability and development.
“With these forms submitted, the real work to return Southern Kaduna to the path of progress begins,” he said.
Party stakeholders in Kaduna South have described the joint move as a signal of cohesion within the APC ahead of the primaries.
