John Kojo-Brambaifa, a former senator from Bayelsa State, is dead. Mr Brambaifa, who had represented Bayelsa West District in the 5th National Assembly, died on Saturday at an Abuja hospital. The Benue State House of Assembly on Monday convened a public hearing on the Benue State Revenue Service (Consolidation and Harmonisation) Bill, 2025, a proposed legislation targeted at restructuring and strengthening the state’s tax administration system. A fire incident on Monday razed an open yard used for metal scrap recycling at No. 15, Pipeline Road, off Ekoro Road, Abule Egba area of Lagos State. While no casualties were recorded, the blaze destroyed several valuables. One adult woman reportedly went into shock during the incident but was swiftly treated and stabilised by emergency responders at the scene.
