The Kano Police Command has arrested three-armed robbery suspects and recovered firearms and ammunition as part of efforts to combat crime in the state. This is contained in a statement issued on Friday in Kano by the command’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Kiyawa. Kiyawa said the command’s Special Weapons and Tactics Base, Dorayi, acting on credible intelligence, arrested the suspects at Bachirawa Quarters in Kano State. A Federal High Court in Lagos has dismissed a N1bn lawsuit filed against MTN Nigeria Communications Plc by Walls and Gates Ltd and its Managing Director, Okechukwu Udeichi, over alleged copyright infringement, breach of confidentiality, and trademark violations arising from MTN’s 20th anniversary promotional campaign. Delivering judgement on Tuesday, Justice Ayokunle Faji held that the plaintiffs failed to establish any legally protectable right in their proposal titled “20 for 20”, describing the action as frivolous, speculative, and vexatious. The families of the four University of Idaho students who were brutally murdered in 2022 by Bryan Kohberger have filed a negligence lawsuit against Washington State University, where the confessed killer was working towards a Ph.D. in criminal justice and criminology and employed as a teaching assistant. The Gombe State Police Command has recovered 274 sheep, 54 goats, and one donkey stolen in separate operations carried out across parts of the state. This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Buhari Abdullahi. Two tankers carrying some quantities of Premium Motor Spirit have fallen in the last twenty four hours in Oyo State. DAILY POST gathered that the two incidents occurred at separate locations in Ibadan, the state capital. The first incident occured at Methodist along the Lagos/Ibadan Express way, Wednesday evening. It was learned that the trailer tanker with registration number A143XA (Osun) was carrying 33,000 litres of PMS when the incident occured.
