Police nab three for armed robbery in Kano

The Kano Police Command has arrested three-armed robbery suspects and recovered firearms and ammunition as part of efforts to combat crime in the state. This is contained in a statement issued on Friday in Kano by the command’s spokesperson, Abdullahi Kiyawa. Kiyawa said the command’s Special Weapons and Tactics Base, Dorayi, acting on credible intelligence, arrested the suspects at Bachirawa Quarters in Kano State. He explained that the suspects had confessed to committing a series of armed robbery activities within Kano metropolis, alongside other members of the gang. Court dismisses N1bn suit against MTN, awards N3m costs

A Federal High Court in Lagos has dismissed a N1bn lawsuit filed against MTN Nigeria Communications Plc by Walls and Gates Ltd and its Managing Director, Okechukwu Udeichi, over alleged copyright infringement, breach of confidentiality, and trademark violations arising from MTN’s 20th anniversary promotional campaign. Delivering judgement on Tuesday, Justice Ayokunle Faji held that the plaintiffs failed to establish any legally protectable right in their proposal titled “20 for 20”, describing the action as frivolous, speculative, and vexatious. Police recover 274 sheep, arrest four suspected livestock thieves in Gombe

Two petroleum tankers fall within 24 hours in Oyo 

Two tankers carrying some quantities of Premium Motor Spirit have fallen in the last twenty four hours in Oyo State. DAILY POST gathered that the two incidents occurred at separate locations in Ibadan, the state capital. The first incident occured at Methodist along the Lagos/Ibadan Express way, Wednesday evening.
