The Federal Government on Sunday inaugurated the N40 billion Closed-Circuit Television Camera (CCTV) Centre of the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State. Former lawmaker who represented Adamawa North Senatorial District, Ishaku Abbo, has been cleared of an alleged rape of a minor. Clearing him on Sunday, the Nigeria Police said investigations found no credible evidence to support the claim. Alade Balogun is nearing a move to Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Shooting Stars. Balogun is reported to have accepted personal terms with the Oluyole Warriors. Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have arrested a 37-year-old businessman, Ani Romans, and recovered large quantities of tramadol concealed inside mannequins he was transporting for his clothing business. Romans was intercepted by NDLEA officers on patrol along the Oron–Ibaka Road in the Oron Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State on Friday, January 9, while travelling with full-body mannequins allegedly meant for onward movement to Cameroon.
