Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has approved the immediate promotion of over 2,000 workers of the Federal Capital Development Authority, FCDA, and Federal Capital Territory Administration, FCTA. The promotion was based on examinations held from Tuesday, November 25 to Saturday, November 29, 2025. Lagos State Government has disclosed that fire outbreaks across the state claimed no fewer than 133 lives and destroyed property valued at N19.72 billion in 2025. This represents an increase compared to 2024, when fire incidents resulted in 91 deaths and property losses estimated at N19.52 billion. Two separate cult clashes in the Owode Yewa area of Ogun State and the Ojo area of Lagos State have left four people dead.
