A bank official on Friday told the FCT High Court in Abuja that the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service (KSIRS), during the tenure of Governor Yahaya Bello, transferred over N1.1 billion to a private company. The Federal Government has announced a ban on sand mining within a 10-kilometre radius of the River Niger to protect the first and second Niger bridges. The Minister of Works, Mr David Umahi, disclosed this on Friday in Asaba during the commissioning of the Second Niger Bridge Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Cameras Monitoring Centre.
