Two suspected child traffickers have been arrested after residents and security operatives foiled the attempted abduction of three children in Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State. The incident occurred on Wednesday evening on the Ekparakwa–Ekpene Ukpa Road in Ikot Ekpaw, a community at the centre of recent kidnapping incidents. The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) will kick off the Net Billing Regulations 2026 to strengthen energy security and expand renewable energy nationwide.
