The trial of social media influencer and self-styled relationship therapist Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, was on Wednesday adjourned until 20 July after she failed to appear before the Federal High Court in Ikoyi due to ill health. The Vice-Chancellor of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago-Iwoye, Prof. Ayodeji Agboola, has disclosed that no fewer than 5,000 candidates have applied to study Nursing Science at the university for the 2026/2027 academic session, despite the institution having only 50 admission slots for the programme. Agboola also revealed that about 4,000 candidates applied for Mass Communication, although the university can admit only 120 students to the programme. UK-based financial company Revolut has received approval from the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) of Dubai to offer crypto-related services in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).In a Wednesday notice, Revolut said that, following a green light from the Central Bank of the UAE for payment activities, VARA gave in-principle approval for the company to offer broker-dealer, management and investment, and exchange services in the UAE.
