A 52-year-old man, Ilori Elicanah, on Wednesday bagged a five-year jail term for illegal mining activities. A Kwara State High Court sitting in Ilorin, presided over by Justice Abimbola Awogboro, sentenced the convict after finding him guilty of unlawful possession of solid minerals. The Ilorin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had arraigned Elicanah before the court. Bashir Usman has rejoined Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, side Niger Tornadoes for the remainder of the season. Usman previously played for the Ikon Allah Boys during the 2023-24 NPFL season.
