The Arewa Youth Assembly for Good Leadership, AYAGL, has condemned the abduction of more than 160 people from churches and surrounding communities in Kajuru local government council of Kaduna State, describing the incident as barbaric and a grave threat to peace and security in Northern Nigeria. Beninoise club, USCN Cavaliers have sacked their Nigerian coach, Usman Abdallah, DAILY POST reports. Abdallah spent only six months with Cavaliers before his departure from the club. He was appointed head coach of the modest side in August 2025. Cavaliers are currently in 16th position on the Championnat National League table. The 45-year-old won the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, title with Enyimba in the 2018/2019 season. He also guided Enyimba to the group stage of the CAF Champions League in 2019.

Over one million households displaced by years of insurgency have been resettled in their ancestral homes across parts of Borno State, following sustained stabilisation operations by troops of Operation Hadin Kai. The Lagos State Government has seized 70 commercial motorcycles during a routine clean-up enforcement across major restricted routes on the Island axis of the state. According to a X statement on Thursday by the Ministry of Transportation, signed by the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, the operation was carried out on Wednesday, and began at about 9:30am.
