The Federal Road Safety Corps has confirmed the death of a female child and four male passengers in a lone road accident in Ebonyi on Friday. The Sector Commander of the FRSC in Ebonyi, Daniel Asanya, told the News Agency of Nigeria in Abakaliki that the accident occurred at the Nkalagu axis of the Enugu–Abakaliki Federal Highway. Following continuous insecurity in the state, the Kaduna State Police Command said it has arrested five persons who served as informant linked to kidnapping syndicate in the state.It said investigation revealed that the suspects allegedly provided information and logistics support to the kidnappers. Delta State has been ranked the second-best governed state in Nigeria under Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, according to the 2025 Commonwealth Institute of Advanced and Professional Studies (CIAPS) Governance Performance Index.
