Fossil fuels still generated 57 per cent of the world’s electricity last year despite the rapid growth of renewable energy, according to a report by the Pew Research Centre based on data from energy think tank Ember. The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, announced the passage during Wednesday’s plenary after a majority of senators supported it through a voice vote. The Wireless Application Service Providers Association of Nigeria (WASPAN) has appealed a Federal High Court judgement upholding the authority of the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC) to regulate digital lending in Nigeria.
