The Enugu State Police Command has arraigned a 29-year-old man, Oshim Daniel, before an Enugu State Magistrate Court for allegedly stealing vehicle batteries and other valuables from residents of Alulu-Nike community in Enugu State. The full details of the decision of the Legal Practitioners Disciplinary Committee (LPDC) suspending Joe-Kyari Gadzama, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), from legal practice for three years have emerged. Former Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB) Chairman, Alhassan Niworo, has narrated his 225-day ordeal in the custody of armed bandits, saying he endured torture, threats of execution and prolonged negotiations before regaining his freedom in May.
