NDC crisis continues as party says it has no list of candidates yet

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) has announced that it has not “released any official results of its primary elections in any state.” The opposition party, in a statement by its spokesperson, Osa Director, asked Nigerians to “disregard any such list in circulation.” PREMIUM TIMES reports that the NDC is embroiled in multiple crises in its state chapters amidst allegations by members that many of its primaries did not follow due process. WHO reports 515 Ebola cases, 91 deaths in DR Congo

The World Health Organisation (WHO) says the ongoing outbreak of the Bundibugyo strain of Ebola has resulted in 515 confirmed cases and 91 deaths in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has warned that recent court rulings affecting aspects of its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general election could disrupt preparations for the polls if not urgently clarified by appellate courts.
