Operatives of the Nigeria Police Force in Abia State have rescued six abducted children and arrested a 51-year-old man suspected of belonging to a child trafficking syndicate operating in the state. In a statement posted on Facebook on Thursday, the police spokeswoman in the state Maureen Chinaka identified the suspect as Nnamdi Lazarus. The Nigerian Navy says it has recovered 105,000 litres of products suspected to be stolen crude oil during a series of anti-crude oil theft operations in Delta State, as security agencies intensify efforts to curb oil theft in the Niger Delta.
