A serving Nigerian police sergeant has been taken into custody over allegations that he supplied an AK-47 rifle used in a recent armed robbery in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State. The arrest was disclosed by security analyst Zagazola Makama in a post on X, following the capture of one of the robbery suspects, identified as 30-year-old Justine Gbata from Doka Village. The Senate has received 24 health sector bills from President Bola Tinubu for legislative consideration, in line with Section 58(2) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The bills were conveyed in a letter addressed to the Senate and read during plenary by the Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio. The Kwara State High Court, sitting in Ilorin,  on Tuesday convicted three persons and sentenced them to death by hanging for the offences of armed robbery, rape, and kidnapping, among others. The offences were committed against one Mr Olubunmi Komolafe and his wife, Mrs Adeola Morenikeji, at their farm in Ilorin, Kwara State.
