A Federal High Court sitting in Ibadan has nullified the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, National Convention held in Ibadan, Oyo State, on November 15, 2025. The court barred members of the Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee, NWC, from parading themselves as national officers of the PDP. The court also ruled that the Caretaker Committee led by Mohammed Abdulrahman and Senator Samuel Anyanwu is the only recognised NWC of the PDP, pending the conduct of a valid National Convention. The court ruling is the latest twist in the protracted crisis rocking the PDP. More details later.

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has recovered a total of 415 cache of live ammunition from a commercial bus en route Calabar. The Command’s Public Relations  Officer, DSP Timfon John, who disclosed this in a statement, said the items were recovered during a stop-and-search operation. Fenerbache officials are in Italy to finalise the deal for Atalanta winger, Ademola Lookman, DAILY POST reports. Director of sport, Devin Ozek is leading the team, according to Football Italia. The Turkish Super Lig giants are also willing to offer Lookman €9m per season. Atalanta recently signed Giacomo Raspadori from Spanish giants, Atletico Madrid, and are now open to selling Lookman. The Enugu State Police Command has uncovered a suspected transnational human trafficking scheme linked to prostitution, arresting a 50-year-old woman, Ibekwe Nkiru, and rescuing a 20-year-old female victim.
