The Police Command in Anambra State says it has detained a masquerade allegedly involved in unprovoked violent attacks on residents of Awgbu Community in Orumba North Local Government Area of the state. Dr Sani Abdullahi Shinkafi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Zamfara State, has written to the National Chairman of the party making an appeal against what he described as the exclusion of some people or groups from joining the party. He said that members of the “Wamban Shinkafi Democratic Front” across the 14 local Government Areas, LGA, and 147 wards across Zamfara State have been denied membership of APC via the e-registration. The Edo State Command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, says its operatives arrested no fewer than 462 suspected drug traffickers and seized a total of 207, 595.54 kilograms of illicit drugs in 2025. No fewer than seventeen tricycles and two petrol tankers were destroyed following two separate fire outbreaks at filling stations in Kano State on Tuesday.
